Set in a private domain Villa Seteais is a great bolthole from the worries of life but well within half an hours drive to the throbbing metropolis of St. Tropez’s beaches, nightclubs and terrific Tuesday and Saturday morning market.

It’s a perfect place to take anyone as there’s so much to do. Bored teenagers enjoy themselves watching the action on the beaches, whilst the more restrained amongst us paint, read or sit on the terrace at Villa Seteais enjoying a long and meaningful lunch!

As the house – which sleeps a maximum of ten - is on one level – with very few steps – it’s great for bringing granny too. Our housekeeper will tidy Villa Seteais every morning. You can also have fresh croissants and english newspapers bought to you each morning at extra cost. She is available to do extra laundry and a selection of meals by arrangement.

There is a separate self-contained wooden chalet, perfect for teenagers, which sleeps four. It has a kitchenette, loo, shower and DVD/ satellite TV. The separate staff cottage - which sleeps two adults and one child - is usually occupied but can, by special arrangement well in advance, be hired as well.

The stunning loggia, with its magnificent blue fish water sculpture, is a great place to eat and drink whilst watching the kids playing in the small, but perfectly formed, green and gold swimming pool.

Other terraces include a circular rose garden with views over the roof, morrocan sofas, a kids garden and wendy house, a 15 foot trampoline set into the ground, a huge barbecue area with table football and ping pong, a floodlit boules pitch.

The house is 45 minutes from Toulon airport or one and a half hours from Marseilles or Nice airports. There is a heli-pad 10 minutes drive away at Grimaud for a quick trip to Monaco or ski-ing at Isola 2000.

The house is alarmed with security lighting and accessed via motorised gates. The House Management Team live in the gatehouse within the grounds with our Irish Terrier Bud The Wiser and Jed the Chocolate Doberman for added security and four chickens that will provide you with fresh eggs every morning.

A new addition to life at Villa Seteais is an air-conditioned gym fitted out with a running machine, cross-trainer, bike, weights and an abs worker.

The wonderful village of La Garde Freinet is a four-minute drive from the house – or a 30 minute run - and features great food and wine shops, a pharmacy, doctors, tennis-court, amazing restaurants and a wonderful Sunday and Wednesday morning market usually followed with a beer by the fountain in the market square.

Do not miss Jean Jacques the ‘celebrity’ butcher on the main road where standing next to Vanessa Redgrave or Joely Richardson as you buy your bangers is a MUST! Other local celebs include the Beckhams to the north and Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis en route to Plan de la Tour.

The surrounding forest is stunningly beautiful and well-worth exploring but watch out for the wild boar and golden eagles! You can buy the equivalent of an OS map in the paper shop in the village high street.
